Football binds the entire country. Thers is such a mystique about the national team that every team respects them and some even fear them. Gordon Strachan (manager of Glasgow celtic) once was asked what was the most sobering and frightening experience in football and he replied "when you walk out of the tunnel for a game and suddenly realise that the other team are wearing canary yellow shirts and blue shorts!" And of course there are the fans.
